Darlington is soon to celebrate its rich history of innovation with the annual Festival Of Ingenuity. As part of this, we've been asked to offer a taste of the town's musical innovations, and so have prepared a few treats for you.

Amid the beautiful and freshly refurbished promenade along the River Skerne, located behind the Town Hall, we'll have a little stage set up to host an array of local acoustic artists for you to enjoy as you explore the rest of the festival's offerings nearby.

Whilst the willows sway and the river trickles beneath, you can listen to the sounds of some of the most ingenious emerging artists we could find, to the timetable below:

12:00: Sonder Minds
12:45: Eve Conway
13:25: Caitlin Morrow
14:20: Box Wallet & The Roadside Shrimp
15:15: Gram Baker

Butterfly Effect is a vinyl-only label born in Darlington last year which so far has 2 releases under its wing, with many more to come. They'll have their own stall next to ours and alongside having both vinyls to hand, they'll also have some exclusive Butterfly Effect merch on offer including free stickers!

To top it off, they'll even have an interactive spray paint installation where you can make your own branded T-Shirts. Bit of a one-off these, and they'll fly fast, so head down early to get your hands dirty and walk away with a unique tee.

Label founder Stephen Gill & the adjacent Tracks Team will also be giving out free hugs, just to spread the love,  or keep you warm if the weather's getting you down.

A short stroll up the riverside and Big Little Gigs, who run top notch live music events for kids, will be getting hands-on with a shaker making craft table. Children can choose their own coloured eggs, stickers, and all sorts of bits and bobs to make their very own little shaker-me-jig, which they can keep and maybe even use to shake along to the sounds playing out of the Tracks acoustic tent.

PRO TIP: For the full experience, combine all three activities by popping a Butterfly Effect sticker on your own custom shaker, and then jamming along to the acoustic vibes.

Come say hello and join in the fun!
