Darlo-Ho-Ho Electro
Darlo-Ho-Ho is a yuletide celebration of the emerging electronic scene in Darlington (on 21st Dec), brought to you by Tracks in association with Jukebox (a night promoting electro music every Thursday at Avalon Darlington), Distinct Darlington and Rocket Town Brewing Co.
Within the carnivalesque, theatre of opulence that is the Darlington Spiegeltent (located in Darlington Market Place), you’ll be treated to a circuit board driven, musical extravaganza on a stage illuminated by Christmas lights and projections of your favourite black and white festive films. Featuring six acts all playing a variety of different styles from 80’s inspired synth-pop to retro chiptune and gothic disco, in a diverse showcase of what can be done when you swap guitars for keys, Korgs and Kaoss pads.
Performing are:
The Black Sheep Frederick Dickens – Dickensian darkwave
Solomon Golomb – 8-bit dance music
There There – Lo-fi indie pop
DeLorean is not Okay – Synth poetry
Ronald Raygun – Experimental groovy electro
…And to make sure the dancing never stops Alternate Perspective will be performing glitch-hop and new funk DJ sets in between the acts throughout the night.
Tickets are £5 adv or £7 OTD and available online from the Distinct Darlington website or Skiddle
Physical tickets will also be available at Hole in the Wall Market Tavern & Kitchen later in the week.
