IWD Pop-up Choir
Celebrate International Women’s Day by joining us for a very special Noisy Daughters pop-up choir session at the Hippodrome in Darlington.
At this session, led by powerhouse Liz Corney, you will learn uplifting songs and rounds to be sung in easy parts in a welcoming environment. The emphasis is on bringing women’s voices together for fun. You don’t need to be able to read music, just be willing to sing with others.
Liz Corney is a musician, songwriter and facilitator who has worked across the North East delivering singing, songwriting and music making to all ages and abilities. Liz sings with The Cornshed Sisters, a four-part harmony alt/folk/pop band, and has toured the UK, Europe and North America with Field Music playing keyboards. She has also graced the stage at Glastonbury and performed on Later with Jools Holland. Her debut album is set for release later this year.
In line with the International Women’s Day theme and the Noisy Daughters ethos, this event is only open to women and gender minorities.
