Noisy Daughters Gallery

WOW! We were all a little glum from the weather, but it didn’t stop so many of you, some travelling miles over icy roads, coming out in force to show your support, have a great time, and fill the day with so much energy and passion. We were overwhelmed by how lovely you all were, and your feedback has been wonderful.

We hope that those who came to the workshop picked up a few good tips; that panel attendees gained some valuable insight into the issues facing females in the music industry; and all those dancing at the end enjoyed a top night of music from some of the region’s finest.

We just want to say a big thank you and offer a metaphorical social media hug to all of you that came to the day’s events; to Liz Corney & Jennie Brewis who led such a wonderful workshop; to our panellists (Rianne Kate Thompson, Claire Dupree, Fran Harvey, Sarah Wilson, Liz Corney & Jennie brewis) who gave us a thoughtful discussion on females in music; to Creative Darlington & Arts Council England for all their support; to The Hullabaloo for letting use use their brilliant new venue; and lastly to all of the artists who played and provided such glowing examples of women in music – ZarahruthLeddie MCEve Conway & Twist Helix – You’re all Noisy Daughters!

All that’s left to say is that we can’t wait for the next one
Keep an eye on our socials and we’ll announce details later in the year

Here’s a selection of images from the day, taken as always by Rob Irish
