Mish Mash

BRINGING THE WORLD TO DARLINGTON ON SUNDAY AUGUST 25TH

With everything from gypsy folk to flamenco, afrobeat to ska, bring the whole family down for an exciting, diverse mish mash of live music and activities in the Market Square.

Brought to you in partnership with Big Little Gigs & Darlington Borough Council, take a trip around the world with food & drinks stalls, interactive workshops, and a main stage featuring amazing artists throughout the day across a global palette of genres.

LIVE MUSIC

13:00 - 13:30: BUBAMARA

A menagerie of folk-punk exotica.
Think Fagin meets ABBA, Sicilian skiffle, Cossack ska, and songs from the streets of Greece.

14:00 - 14:30: CLUSTERFOLK

With one member flying in from Ireland just for this event, you could say they're something of an International supergroup. Have fun watching Matt (Guitar), Donal (Accordion) & Bran (Fiddle) jam it out on stage, and get ready to stomp your feet to some traditional Irish tunes.

15:15 - 16:00: LOS CAPITANES

A Spanish-infused 3-piece acoustic band based in the North of England, who bring high energy flamenco to rock and pop classics, for a unique latin street style fusion.

16:30 -  17:15: WEEKEND SUN

Darlington locals mixing live instruments with samples, conjuring up devastating funk grooves that'll make you move

17:45 - 18:30: LONDON AFROBEAT COLLECTIVE

A 9-piece afro-funk noise bomb beating the tightest rhythms in town with a swingin' brass section.
Get ready to surrender to the unstoppable groove.

19:00 - 20:00: CHAINSKA BRASSIKA

A tantalising blend of infectious ska rhythms, exquisite brass and melodic vocals, making it impossible for you to deny your feet a chance to dance!
